Marble is a rock which is a result from metamorphism of sedimentary carbonate rocks, most commonly limestone or dolomite rock. The process of metamorphism causes variable recrystallization of the original carbonate mineral grains found in vast amount in rock. The resulting marble rock which is termed as marble blocks is typically composed of an interlocking mosaic of carbonate crystals. Primary sedimentary textures and structures of the original carbonate rock which were found earlier have typically been modified or destroyed.

Botticino Marble is considered to be an excellent compact limestone. It is very hard and dense and provides a good finish to the home that will serve for a long time.

The marble is diplomatic and often has quartz intrusions. The factories use gang saws to cut the marble and granites. The Doongri, Devi, Saabwali, Ulodi, Chosira and Neharkhan mines are famous for white marble, whereas Ulodi is famous for albeta marble (white marble with dark patterning).
